Several members of the Sirringhaus Lab recently attended the Gordon Research Conference on Electronic Processes in Organic Materials in Lucca, Italy. Professor Henning Sirringhaus delivered a talk titled Charge Transport Physics of Organic Mixed Ionic-Electronic Conductors, PhD student Leon Brindley presented a poster titled Modelling the Coulomb Gap in Organic Electrochemical Transistors from Conductivity and Seebeck Coefficient Measurements, and visiting PhD student Lena Dörfler presented a poster titled Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass.
The programme covered topics including thermoelectric phenomena, electronic structure and the interplay between ionic and electronic processes, reflecting several of the Sirringhaus Lab’s core research interests. The conference also provided opportunities to discuss recent, unpublished work with researchers from across the field, including long-standing collaborators and colleagues such as Professors Alberto Salleo, Iain McCulloch and Paul Blom.
