About
Sang Eun joined the group as a postdoctoral researcher in January 2026. His research focuses on the design and optimization of molecular doping processes in conjugated polymers, with particular emphasis on controlling charge transport through morphology and nanostructure engineering.
He obtained his PhD from Ajou University, where his doctoral work focused on developing high-efficiency molecular doping strategies to optimize electrical conductivity and thermoelectric performance in conjugated polymers. During his PhD, he investigated how dopant chemistry, processing methodology, and polymer nanostructure collectively govern carrier density, mobility, and stability in doped conjugated polymer systems.
His technical expertise includes morphology control and nanostructure engineering of conjugated polymer thin films, as well as advanced molecular doping processes aimed at precisely tuning doped states. He is particularly interested in understanding structure–transport relationships in heavily doped polymers and leveraging these insights for organic thermoelectrics, related OECT and neuromorphic).
Outside the lab, he enjoys running and marathon training, and has a strong interest in video games.
