Seven members of the Sirringhaus Lab attended the conference innoLAE (Innovations in Large-Area Electronics) over the previous two days. The event, hosted at Magdalene College, Cambridge, included dozens of talks from both academics and industry experts across a wide range of topics, from applications like biosensors and thermoelectric generators, to materials like organic mixed ionic-electronic conductors and perovskites, to techniques like inkjet printing and atomic force microscopy.
In particular, Professor Sirringhaus chaired an extended session on High Performance Materials, as well as an engaging panel about New Materials for Photovoltaics with François Grenier, Edward Crossland, Professor Karl Leo and Professor Sam Stranks. We also learnt about Practical Integration of Liquid Crystal Plastic Dimming Technologies for Real-World Augmented Reality Applications from FlexEnable, a flexible electronics company that Professor Sirringhaus co-founded.
